WELCOME BACK TO NATURE
AT BLUE LAKE RESORT
SPRING, SUMMER, OR FALL

niquely situated on a 40-acre island five miles southwest of Minocqua, Wisconsin, Blue Lake Resort is a charming country vacation spot built at the water's edge and surrounded by natural woods and lawns. The island is easily accessible on a good blacktop road which brings you 2-1/2 miles west of Highway 51 into the backwoods, and to the bridge, which, like a doormat, welcomes you to our resort.

ur ten lakeside cabins mingle northwoods charm and a touch of Southwestern style. Each cabin is self-contained, and pleasantly spaced from the others. Each comes with a private dock and aluminum rowboat. Cabins are friendly, furnished for comfort including well-equipped kitchens. Bed linens are provided, but guests furnish their own towels. Highchairs and cribs are available on request. Cabins are heated, windows and porches are screened, and all utilities and appliances are modern. As we are a family-style place, we welcome one pet per cabin...parrots and ferrrets have been our most unusual pets.

lue Lake water laps clean and clear
because it's spring-fed. Our resort has a sandy, well-protected beach for young children, fringed by a sandpile play area. At the edge of this beach a long dock invites experienced swimmers. There are no weeds and no dropoffs. From the beach, the land slopes gently upward where lawn chairs sprawl for sunbathing and good viewing. Fishing fanatics will catch the best walleye, bass, and jumbo perch in the spring and fall. But panfish and occasionally something larger can be hooked even by summer anglers. Waterskiing is allowed, and we have a private boat landing. Sorry no jet-skis.
Besides water sports, we have swings and sandpiles, ping pong, badminton, volleyball, horseshoes, campfires, and summer cookouts. Our resort is just a mile from the Bearskin Trail, popular for backwoods hiking and biking. The northern Wisconsin vacation area offers golfing, tennis, riding academies, canoe trips, water ski shows, good cafes, night clubs, live theater, movies, shopping, Indian lore, and miles of beautiful scenery. In autumn the area blazes with colorama festivals.

n your next trip, we'd like you to come to Blue Lake Resort. Come in quiet spring, or spectacular  fall. Or come for the summer splash, as so many do. No matter which season. When you yearn to  return to nature, trek out-of-the-way trails, swim in shimmering blue water, fish with the eagles and loons ..... We're here, and you can be too.
